What is a beverage co-packer?+

A beverage co-packer (contract packer) manufactures and packages a drink on behalf of the brand that owns it. The brand keeps the recipe, trademark, and customers; the co-packer supplies the facility, equipment, process expertise, and often ingredient sourcing. What kinds of beverages does Upstate Beverage Consultants co-pack?+

Non-alcoholic beverages in aluminum cans: functional drinks, hemp-derived THC and CBD beverages, sparkling and still soft drinks, ready-to-drink coffee and tea, and non-alcoholic alternatives. If your product needs a still or carbonated fill in a can, it is likely in scope.

Where is Upstate Beverage Consultants located?+

Our facility is at 6 Whitlee Ct, Greenville, South Carolina 29607, roughly two hours from Charlotte and Atlanta. We serve brands across the Carolinas, Georgia, and the Southeast, and West Coast brands that want a Southeast production footprint.

What can sizes can you run?+

We run 8 oz sleek, 12 oz sleek, 12 oz standard, and 16 oz aluminum cans. Ask about other formats when you submit a project; some are possible with lead time.

Do you help with formulation, or do I need a finished recipe?+

Both work. If you have a finished formula we scale it to our line. If you have a concept or a kitchen-stage recipe, our R&D and flavor formulation service turns it into a production-ready specification, including shelf-life and process-authority planning where required.

How do I get a quote?+

Submit the project form on this site. It takes about four minutes and asks for beverage type, packaging format, estimated batch size, and timeline. If the project is a fit, you book an exploratory call with our team and receive a written quote after that call.

Do you work with first-time beverage founders?+

Yes. We work with emerging brands doing their first production run and with established brands moving off large co-packers. We are selective about fit, so the qualification form asks about volume and timeline up front.

Can you produce hemp-derived THC beverages?+

Yes. Hemp-derived THC and CBD beverages are a specialty. We work with clients on dosing consistency, compliant labeling inputs, and testing coordination for the states they sell into.

Canning and packaging questions

Do you tunnel pasteurize?+

Tunnel pasteurization is available for products that need it. Whether your product needs it depends on pH, ingredients, and shelf-life target, which we assess during formulation review.

Sleeved cans or printed cans?+

Both. Shrink sleeves suit smaller runs and frequent artwork changes. Printed cans lower the per-unit cost at higher volumes but require larger can orders and longer lead times. We help you choose based on your run size.

Who supplies the cans, ends, and ingredients?+

Either side can. Many clients have us source cans, ends, trays, and ingredients through our supplier relationships; others supply their own. Client-supplied materials are received against a purchase order and tracked by lot.
